Joseph Kamionka, 79, of Wyoming, died Monday, June 4, 2007, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Slocum, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Turkiewcz) Kamionka.
He was a 1946 graduate of Newport High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a longtime car salesman, truck driver and foster parent. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Ann Lukashewski; daughter, Jo Ann and her husband, Michael Coolbaugh, of Exeter; son, Christopher and his wife, Carolyn, of Florida; son, Ronald, of Harrisburg; adopted children, Samantha Wilson, of Maryland, and John "Chico," of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Michael Jr., Matthew and Morgan Coolbaugh, Bobby, David and Holly Kamionka, and Nicholas Leon, at home; sister, Josephine Kubricki, of Pond Hill; several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the immediate family. Arrangements are by the Ruane & Regan Funeral Home, 18 Kennedy St., Pittston.
