Florence M. Engelbrecht (1916 - 2011)

Florence M. Engelbrecht, age 95, formerly of 2117 Garfield Street, Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, November 8, 2011 at the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers.

Florence was born October 3, 1916, in Two Creeks, daughter of the late Anton adn Lillian (Kloida) Benesh. She was a graduate of Washington High School with the class of 1934. On June 10, 1936 she married Herbert W. Engelbrecht at St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Creeks where she served as organist for ten years. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1993. The couple moved to Two Rivers and became members of St. John's Lutheran Church. Florence served as chapel organist for Lutheran church services at the Hamilton Memorial Home for twenty years.

Survivors include one son: Douglas Engelbrecht, Two Rivers; and one daughter: Gail Mahnke, Marshall, MI., cousins, and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Ann, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Novmeber 14, 2011, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. David Arndt with burial to follow at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and freinds on Monday, from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
