MIDDLESBORO - Calvin Partin, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Middlesboro ARH.
Born March 23, 1926, in Middlesboro, he was the son of the late Cordell and Mae Partin. He was of the Baptist faith, had worked as a coal miner, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Partin; son, Gary Lynn Partin; brother, Ed Partin; and a sister, Eunice Gibson.
Survivors include his three sons, Don (Barbara) Partin, Rose Hill, Va., Randy Partin and Dale Asher Partin, both of Middlesboro; three brothers, Burl Partin, Shawanee, Tenn., John Partin and Frances Boyd Partin, both of Middlesboro; grandson, Chad Money, Middlesboro; granddaughter, Sarah Partin, Tazewell, Tenn.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home with the Revs. Deboyce Givens and Dale Jones presiding. Music was by Rev. Dale and Ginger Jones.
Burial was in the Partin Cemetery in Middlesboro. Pallbearers were friends of the family.
