June Lloyd, age 95, of Louisville, KY., formerly of Matewan, WV., departed this life on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at the Regis Woods Nursing Home of Louisville, KY.
June was born November 20, 1916, in Matewan, WV., the daughter of the late John Carroll and Jetti Burke Melvina.
In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leeland Lloyd, brothers, Homer, Norman, and James Carroll, sisters, Estella Carroll Duff, Hazel "Azzy" Parsade, Katheline Johnson.
Laura is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Honoring services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2012, at Chambers Funeral Services, Inc. Burial will follow at the Buskirk Cemetery at Buskirk, KY.
The family will begin to receive friends at 12 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2012, at the funeral home chapel until time of service.
NOTE:
June was NOT preceded in death by her sister Estella. Estella is 101 years old and living in Texas as of this date, May 5, 2013.
