Mrs. Grace Barrett, 71, wife of the late Harvey D. Barrett of 1104 Republican, died Tuesday morning following a short illness.
She was born in Parkersburg, Ind., and had lived in Topeka for the last 62 years. She leaves a sister, Mrs. George A. Root of Topeka; two step-daughters, Mrs. McMullen of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Clara Schlegal of Seattle.
Services will be at Penwell-Gabel chapel at 3:30 p.m. Thursday with burial in Mount Hope cemetery.
