Ruth Ann Pintchuck, 54, of Plymouth, passed away Tuesday at General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born September 7, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Harriet Ponting Griffiths. She graduated from GAR High School and Mansfield University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She was employed by the Wilkes-Barre Area School District as a first-grade teacher at Heights Murray Elementary. Ruth was a member of WBAEA, PSEA, and NEA. She was also a member of the Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a registrar and treasurer for Northeast Travel Soccer League for 12 years.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert, and infant son, Robert Christopher.
Surviving are her son, Thomas, at home; companion, Harry Yurch, at home; brothers, Thomas, Orlando, Florida; Dr. Gilbert Griffiths, Dallas; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Straub Kane Funeral Home, 55 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, with Pastor Erickson officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Members of the Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma will hold a service on Friday at 7 p.m.
