Marjorie Allen was born on October 4, 1927 in Ferris, TX, Ellis County to parents David Almand and Frances O'Daniel Almand.

Marjorie passed away on March 16, 2022 in Waxahachie, TX surrounded by her loving family.

She married the love of her life, Billy Allen, on January 15, 1944 and they shared 68 years of marriage. They worked side by side as hair stylists at their salon, The Glamour Salon in Waxahachie, TX.

Marjorie's talents were many, but cooking was not one of them. She loved her Whataburger Breakfast on a Bun and coffee each morning visiting with her friends. She crocheted and knitted for many years at the Waxahachie Senior Activity Center. Her beautiful floral and bird paintings adorn the walls of her family and friends' homes. She gave each child and grandchild a special pattern hand-quilted quilt.

Her four children and their spouses, Brenda Ford, Jackie and Becky Allen, Sharon Byrd, and Gary and Debbie Allen survive her, along with 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Randall and Sara Ford, Angee Hallmark, Darin and Shelli Ford, Meleah and Chad Puckett, Clark and Helen Allen, Erick and Tara Thompson, Hayley and Jeff Buchanan, Justin and Shellye Byrd, Erin Allen, Marla Harris, and step grandson, Michael and Ashley Woolley. She is survived by 23 great-grandchildren: Brooks Ford, Seth Ford, Ethan Hallmark, Quinn Hallmark, Chloe Hallmark, Ewan Ford, Ella Ford, Olivia Puckett, Travis Puckett, Caleb Allen, Aaron Allen, Jacob Allen, Kayla Thompson, Tripp Thompson, Lana Campbell, Channing Buchanan, Easton Byrd, Laiken Byrd, Brent Harris, Kaytlyn Harris, and step grandchidren Zachary Sauceda, Jozette Sauceda, Veronica Hernandez; Paxton Woolley, and Axel Watkins; three step great-great-grandchildren: Jazelle Riojas, Rick Riojas, and Zachary Sauceda II; as well as sisters-in-law Glenda Almand, Bobbie Griffin, and Marilyn Harris, and brother-in-law Talmedge Harris. She loved all her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who celebrate her life.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents; two sisters, Dorothy Doherty Shackelford and Mary Nell Rippey; one brother, Don Almand; brothers-in-law Rusty Doherty and W H Rippey; sons-in-law Eddie Ford and James Byrd; one step grandson, Austin Elbert; and one step granddaughter, Kristin Sheppard Maynard.
