Someone dumped Moose and his brother Squirrel in the desert in 2000. They became part of our family. Moose was with us for 12 years. From being hit by an automobile, he suffered a shattered tibia in May of 2002. Rather than remove his leg, he received surgery from Steve Petersen, DVM. He wore a brace for a few months and was able to enjoy a good life. Today we found that he had inoperable cancer that had spread from his stomach to his lungs. We put him to sleep today with great sadness. He was laid to rest next to his brother Squirrel.
