Evelyn M. Engelbrecht
Evelyn M. Engelbrecht, age 86, a resident of the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, died Saturday morning, August 12, 2000, at the Hamilton Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Edward Stelter will officiate, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

Evelyn was born June 11, 1914, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Frank and Martha Heldt Benthein. On June 29, 1932, she married Walter A. Engelbrecht at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death May 8, 1992. She and her husband farmed in the town of Two Creeks until moving to Two Rivers in 1959. She was employed at Paragon Electric from 1959 until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the St. John's Ladies Society for many years.

Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law, Harlan and Brenda Engelbrecht, Apache Junction, Ariz., Janet Engelbrecht, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Lester Hoeffner, Apache Junction, Ariz., Connie and Ronald Messman, Two Rivers; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a half sister, Angeline Martin, Cecil, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Florence Engelbrecht, Two Rivers. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a son, Glenn Engelbrecht; one brother, Ralph Benthein; one sister, Thelma Stupecky; two half brothers, Thomas and Robert Eucke; one half sister, Florence Biel.

The family well great relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church.

Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
