Excerpt taken from the Edna Enterprise, Nov. 5, 1904:
Mrs. Wm. Potter, mother of Chas. Potter of this city, died at her late home in centralia at one o'clock Tuesday morning Nov. 1.
Rosetta Dart ws born in Morrow County, Ohio in 1940, came to Kansas with her parents in 1856. She was united in marriage to Wm. Potter March 2, 1862. To them were born seven children. Five sons and two daughters. One son and a daughter died in early life and another son at the age of twenty-one. The other sons, Chas., Wm., and Rufus and Mrs. Jessie Bostwick with the husband all survive her. She was converted and joined the M.E. church when thirteen years old, and after her marriage she, with her husband joined the Baptist church remaining a member until her death. The funeral took place from the home of Chas. Potter in the city at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon Rev. J.R. Hankins officiating. The remains were interred in the new cemetery.
