Rennie Saville passed away on Saturday morning, August 25, 2012, after a valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease. He touched many lives with his loving, generous heart and positive outlook on life.

Rennie was born in Dumfries, Scotland to George Saville and Robina Christina Shields, and immigrated to the United States as a young man. Rennie learned his trade in carpentry in his early 20's. He served briefly in the U.S. Army until an anomaly in his heart was found, which was successfully repaired in the 1970s. He served on various construction teams, built furniture and remodeled his home. Rennie loved sailing and was a member of the Point San Pablo Yacht Club. Rennie loved animals and trained dogs to be obedient pets.

Rennie is survived by his wife Elsie Saville, a brother, Bert Saville, two sisters, Margaret Aborn and Catherine Saville, a son, James Saville, two daughters, Holly Saddoris and Heather Franco, a granddaughter, Renee Dunlap, four grandsons, Jarret Saddoris, Dustin Saville, James Leo Saville, and Craig Judkins, and three great-grandchildren. Through his wife Elsie, Rennie is also survived by five step-children, fifteen step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren. Rennie was preceded in death by his parents, brother George "Dody" Saville, daughter Barbara Batchelor and son Michael Saville. His generous, loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Garden of Eternal Rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2011 Arnold Industrial Way, Concord, California, (925) 685-3464.
