Joseph, born 7 Dec 1805
John Engle died 12 Aug 1847 age eighty-four years and one month.
NOTE REGARDING THE NAME ON THIS MEMORIAL: Apparently there was confusion between this John Engle and Silas Engle (whose full name may have been Johann or Johannes Silas Engle) who lived in the same geographic area. Adding to the confusion was that there are multiple records of Engles named John and Silas who served in the Revolutionary War. The previously placed marker with the name John was removed and replaced with the current marker for Johannes Silas. The original is on display at the Conyngham Valley Historical Society.
Note that burial records for Silas Engle have been found and his FAG memorial is #155097388.
