SALLIE VENSON is the daughter of George Venson and Emma Cooper Venson. Her siblings are Beatrice, Milton, Josie, and Lee Venson.
She received her formal education in Italy, Texas schools. Early in life she united with the Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church.
She married Earnest Rankin in 1906 and to this union one son, Theo Rankin, was born. Later she married Lennie Sims.
In 1935, SALLIE VENSON RANKIN SIMS moved to Wichita Falls, Texas where she lived until she became ill.
