WHITAKER, JAMES ARTHUR

Died suddenly Sunday afternoon in Biloxi, Miss. He was a native of Memphis, Tenn., and a resident of 5750 Florida Blvd. He was vice president H.E. Wiese Construction Co. Body at Welsh Funeral Home, with visiting from 4 until 9 p.m. Monday; after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services at the funeral home at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Spencer H. Lindsay. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Harrison Whitaker, Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. Preston Holden, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Alfred Mason and Mrs. Evelyn Clark, both of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Van Whitaker, Memphis. Member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, past president and lifetime member of Baton Rouge Purchasing Agents Association, and member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon of University Tennessee. Pallbearers are R. A. Calvey, E. P. Dugas, G. N. Fisher, R. J. Gebhart, S. J. O'Brien, R. A. Page. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Barnard, Andy Bittner, R. 1 Blythe, Baker, Boyd, K. W. Davis, Tim Distefano, Ed Doescher, H. G. Faust, G. H. Henderson, Dr. A. M. Holden, Al King, J. L. LaBue, H. D. Ponton, J. L. Rabun, M. J. Simpson, C. D. Sylvest, 1. A. Tergliafera, H. E.
