Lourie Soileau Cavallero passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the age of 74. She was the cherished wife of 28 years to Leo J. Cavallero Jr. Loving mother of Jennifer McCorkle, Marilynn Necaise, Sandra Francois, Robert "Keith" Francois and Steven Francois. Step-mother of Bambi Marsters and Scott Cavallero. Daughter of the late Aline Vidrine and Aldes Soileau. Sister of Jean Ducote. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of cousins, relatives and dear friends. Lourie was a native of Plaisance, LA and a current resident of Covington, LA. She enjoyed a 30-year career with Jones Walker Law Firm before retiring to spend more time travelling and being with her family and friends. She was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many, who treasured her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 28th from 6:00PM – 9:00PM and again on Saturday morning from 9:00AM – 11:00AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00AM.
Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens
