Corso Vittorio Emanuele is the main street in the newer part of downtown Amantea. Yes, my

wife and I went there in 2007, and I will attach a few pictures. It is a "working class" seaside

town, which empties out after the summer (we were there in late September). You can

actually see the town very nicely on Google Maps, using the street level view. My

grandmother's family lived on that same street at #85 Corso Vittorio Emanuele. They had a

shop on the ground floor, and lived in the floors above it. I had a few old family photos

showing the front entrance with some wrought iron work above the door, with my

grandfather's initials (RM for Rafaele Mazzuca), and I was able to find it.

The word "Contrada" sometimes is a road, but many times it can mean "Neighborhood".

think that Contrada Archi is a winding road, heading out of downtown Amantea, in the "Archi"
