DEATH TOLL CONTINUES TO REMAIN BIG
Epidemic of Influenza Claims More Rossland People Since Last Report--Totals Fifty-One.
...DWYER--Matt Dwyer, died at the Sisters' hospital last night at midnigt [sic], aged about 40 years. Survived by a wife and two children. Deceased was at one time shift boss of the Josie mine. He was born in Kellingrew, Nfd. [sic], coming here in 1907, working for some time to a few days before his death for the Consolidated company, being sent a few weeks ago to Sandon, where he was foreman of the mine at that place. He is well known among Rosslanders, having lived in this vicinity for a number of years. Deceased is survived by a wife and two children, a brother in Butte, who has been notified of his death, and M. J. Nugent, who is his first cousin. Mrs. Dwyer's brother is a resident of Trail, and was here when the end came.

FUNERALS TODAY
The funeral of the late Matt Dwyer was held at 11 this morning from the undertaking parlors. Mr. Dwyer's brother, Thomas, of Butte, arrived in the city last evening. The pall bearers were Messrs. Sam McDonald, D. Donnell, James Kennedy, Mike Donovan, Sam Patterson. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery, Father Altoff of Nelson, officiating.
