Mrs. Charlene Davis,51,of Bardstown passed away Wednesday,September 26, 2012 at her residence. She was the former Charlene McDonald and was born April 30,1961 in Lexington. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology from Western Kentucky University and a Masters Degree from the University of Louisville. She was employed as a speech pathologist in the Nelson County School System and was a member of St. Joseph Parish. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward McDonald. She is survived by a son,Zachary James Davis of Bardstown,two daughters, Meghan Elizabeth Davis and Alyssa Marie Davis,both of Bardstown,her mother, Mary Dorothy Cecil McDonald of Bardstown,a sister,Alicia Weatherbee of Madison,WI,the father of her children, Craig Davis of New Haven,3 nieces and 2 nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 1,2012 at 11:00 am at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Reverend C. Joseph Batcheldor will be the celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and after 8:30 am on Monday at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home. A prayer service will be Sunday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nelson County Humane Society. Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
