Sister Francis Helen died at the Holy Family convent August 30. Funeral services
were held at the convent at 8 a.m. Monday with burial in the convent cemetery.
Four brothers and two nephews were pallbearers.
Sister Francis Helen was a native of the town of Newton and was the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John Bonde. She entered the Holy family convent in 1919 and this
summer observed the 25th anniversary of her religious profession.
Survivors are two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Bonde of Kaukauna and Mrs. Andrew
Bushman of Manitowoc; four brothers, Phillip of Rip Lake, Nick, Theodore and Peter
of Manitowoc.
Those attending the funeral were Mrs. Robert Bratz, Mrs. Arnold Holschbach and
daughter, Lorraine, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hartlaub, Mr.and Mrs. Clemens Hartlaub,
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Guidinger, Raymond Bushman, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bonde and Mr.
and Mrs. H. Shroeder (sic) of Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bushman, Lucille
Bushman, Ralph and Allen Bonde, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Schill, Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Bonde, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Bonde, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bushman, Aurelia Bushman and
Theodore Bonde of route 1, Manitowoc; Nick Lummerding, John Pfeifer and Miss
Elizabeth Bonde of Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bogenschutz of Cleveland; Orville
Bonde of Newton; Bernard Bonde of Valders; Mrs. Stephen Wagner of St. Nazianz; Mr.
