BRANSTITTER Marilyn Lou Poling Branstitter, age 76, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of Bexley, Ohio, died Sunday, August 5, 2007. Born November 5, 1930 to the late William Denning Poling, Sr. and Lola Mae Carpenter Poling of Athens, Ohio. Mrs. Branstitter was a graduate of Athens High School and Ohio University. She was a retired teacher from Bexley City Schools. She was a member of the Ohio University Alumni Board and served on the Board of Directors from 1998 through 2001. She was also a member of the Ohio University College of Education Society of Alumni and Friends, The Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, The Athens County Historical and First Families Societies and Bexley United Methodist Church. Proceeded in death by her brother William Denning Poling Jr. Survived by daughters, Anne (Bill) Kulju of Westerville, Ohio, Ellen (Bill) Jordan of Malvern, Pennsylvania, and Jane (Tommie) Anderson of Milford, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashley and Abbie Kulju, Dan, Jim and Beth Jordan, Sydney and Bryce Anderson; sister, Donna Chadwell of Worthington, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. To her many dear friends, a heartfelt thank you for your constant loving thoughts and caring ways. She was blessed by your friendships. She has willed her body to the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. A memorial service will be held at Bexley United Methodist Church, 2657 E. Broad Street, Bexley, Ohio. on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. Later interment will be at Clarks Chapel Cemetery, Athens, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bexley United Methodist Church or HomeReach Hospice, 3595 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
