He is survived by his wife, formerly Mamie Mazzola, to whom he was married in Italy in 1891, and two children: Jeannie Pizzo and Joseph Bening of Chicago. One brother, Ben Bening of Bloomington, and five grandchildren, also survive.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bening, he was born March 23, 1873 at Belmont, Italy, coming to this country 39 years ago, and settling in Streator where he spent the balance of his life.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception church and St. Joseph Society.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning from the residence, 220 Water St., and at 9 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Friends may call at the residence after 10 o'clock Tuesday morning.
