Henry Hornblower, 77, Financial Figure, Dies
Pinehurst, N.C., April 12
Henry Hornblower, 77, head of the New York & Boston Stock Exchange firm of Hornblower and Weeks, until retirement a few years ago, died here last night of a heart attack. Hornblower was one of the nation's outstanding financial figures.

Henry Hornblower Succumbs to Heart Attack at Pinhurst
Henry Hornblower, 77 of Boston, Mass., died at his winter home here last night of a heart attack. He was, until his retirement a few weeks ago, head of the New York and Boston Stock exchange firm, Hornblower and Weeks.
Hornblower had gone on a long automobile ride yesterday morning, viewed many of the peach orchards now blooming in this section, and in the afternoon played nine holes of golf with his friend, Donald J. Ross, the golf course architect, and others.
After dinner, he played bridge with members of his family and friends and was stricken during the game.
Hornblower had been coming to this resort for more than 20 years. He joined the Tin Whistle Club, noted golfing fraternity, in 1918 and has served as a member of the board of directors.
The body was sent tonight to Boston. funeral services will be held Tuesday at the new Old South Church at Boston and burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Mass.
Besides his widow, Hornblower is survived by a son, Ralph Hornblower, and two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Myer of Greenwich, Conn., and Mrs Ruth Greenough of Belmont, Mass.
