LaCrosse -- Florentine M. Basgall, 74, died April 8, 1992 at the Rush County Memorial Hospital, LaCrosse.

She was born Nov. 20, 1917 at Pfeifer, the daughter of Jacob and Bridget Hartman Urban.

A longtime LaCrosse resident, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church and the Altar Society, both at LaCrosse.

On June 3, 1936 she married Sylvester Basgall at Loretto. He survives.

Other survivors include: four sons, Edwin, Donald, and Daryl, all of LaCrosse, and Leslie, Ransom; two daughters, Darlene Adams, LaCrosse, and Lucretia Giersch, Salina; stepmother, Margaret Urban, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three brothers, Hubert and Marvin, both of Colorado Springs, and James, Dumas, Texas; two half-brothers, Roy and Don Urban, both of Colorado Springs; three sisters, Elnore DeMarco, Sally Wilmot and Monica Moberly, all of Colorado Springs; two half-sisters, Phyliss Wheanan, Colorado Springs, and Beverly Newborn, Las Animas, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Janousek Funeral Home, LaCrosse. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Michael Catholic Church, LaCrosse, with Father Eugene Kenny presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the LaCrosse City Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
