Amanda Roethel

Amanda Roethel, 77, of 126 Walnut St., Sheboygan Falls, died Sunday at St. Nicholas Hospital, following a two-month illness.

Born May 24, 1892, in the Town of Meeme (Manitowoc County) she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Fiedler.

She was married, Dec. 25, 1915, to John Roethel.

Mrs. Roethel was a member of the First Reformed Church, Sheboygan Falls; the Dorcas Society of the church, and the Sheboygan Falls Golden Agers.

Survivors, besides her husband, are two sons, Gerhard, of Sheboygan, and Willard, Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, William, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Born, both of Cleveland.

Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Huehns Funeral Home, Sheboygan Falls, with the Rev. Cornelius Reynen, pastor of First Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday and until time of services.
