She was born in Ringgold on Aug. 29, 1949, daughter of the late Jewel Luke Ledford and the late Dessie Chastain Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jim Ledford, Lloyd (Bud) Ledford, Charles Ledford, Gene Ledford and Ronnie Ledford, and a sister, Kathy Ann Ledford.
Mrs. White was the owner of Carset Carpet. She was a member of Evangelistic Outreach Church, and she had been secretary and head of board members since the beginning of the church in 1988.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas C. White, to whom she was married in 1981; her second mother, Ruth Ledford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Rogers-Fuller and Billy Fuller, and April M. Hoover and Jay Cook, all of Calhoun; and three brothers, Bobby Ledford of Tacoma, Wash., Jerry Ledford of McCaysville and Damien Ledford of Dalton. Grandchildren surviving are Matthew Chastain, Casey Chastain, Lindsey Hoover, Abby Hoover and Emma Grace Cook, and a great-grandchild, Kinley Chastain.
Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Louise White will be Friday at 1 p.m. from Evangelistic Outreach Church.
Interment will follow in White Cemetery in Walker County. Active pallbearers will include Mike Ledford, Jeffery Cameron, Jeremy Ledford, Halen Morehead, Tony Temple and Matthew Chastain. Honorary pallbearers are Damien Ledford, Kevin Kinsey, Larry Kirby, Chad Temple and Mark Kirby.
