Christel, Albert Frank (Nov. 20, 1881-March 1, 1963 –husband of Minnie Kaltenbrun [1880-1953] –married June 2, 1903 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton –son of Richard Christel and Mary Stahl –born Town of Schleswig –farmer in Town of Liberty and president of the Liberty Telephone Company –on July 10, 1909 purchased from his parents the 119 acre farm at 16319 County C in Section 30, Town of Liberty –on this farm he ran a fox and mink ranch –owned this farm until selling on Jan. 2, 1950 to his son-in-law Edward Groh and his wife Lorina Christel –retired from the farm and moved to St. Nazianz in 1948 –on April 13, 1948 purchased the house at 203 East Main Street in St. Nazianz –Minnie lived in this house until her death in 1953 –Albert lived here until his death in 1963 –from April 13, 1948 to June 3, 1959 owned the shed at 106 East Main Street –used this shed for storage and as a garage to park his car –died from “hypertensive heart disease –hepatitis –nephritis acute globular”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 4, Row 4, Lot 9] [marriage record Manitowoc 7-275] [death record Manitowoc 58-18]

ALBERT F CHRISTEL, 81, of St. Nazianz, a retired farmer and fox and mink rancher, and a former president of the Liberty Telephone Co., died Friday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc following a lingering illness.
Born Nov. 20, 1881, in the Town of Eaton, he was a son of Richard and Mary Stahl Christel, and married the former Minnie Kaltenbrunn on June 2, 1903.She died 10 years ago.
Mr. Christel was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Gregory's Catholic Church in St. Nazianz.
Funeral services will be held at St. Gregory's Church at 10 a.m. Monday, following brief family rites at the Christianson Funeral Home in St. Nazianz at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Denis Cooney, pastor will be the celebrant of the requiem Mass and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors are one son, William L., of rural Valders; a daughter, Mrs. Lorina Groh of St. Nazianz; 16 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren, and three brothers, Henry of rural Kiel, Edward of Kiel and Joe W. of rural Valders.
