Crowe, Michael (Dec. 1831-July 6, 1898 –husband of Margaret Welsh [1839-1899] –son of William Crowe and Sarah Morrissey –brother to John Crowe –born Ireland –arrived in US via New York in June of 1851 –applied for naturalization on Oct. 22, 1853 –farmer in the Town of Liberty –on Nov. 5, 1853 purchased the 80 acres of the E1/2 of the SW1/4 and the 80 acres of the W1/2 of the SE1/4 of Section 28, Town of Liberty from the US Government and created a farmstead at 8512 Pigeon Lake Road –Michael and Margaret lived on this farm until their deaths in 1898 and 1899 –this farm was then owned by their son Joseph Crowe –died from “apoplexy”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 1, Row 10, Lot 5 –stone] [death record Manitowoc 6-79]
