Mrs. Herman C. Holzer, 59, of St. Nazianz, died Thursday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.

A native of the Town of Liberty, the former Magdalen Schwoerer was born Jan. 28, 1907, a daughter of the late John and Mary Becker Schwoerer.

She was married on Oct. 20, 1925, to Mr. Holzer in St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality of St. Gregory's and the Third Order of St. Francis. She formerly worked at Kohler Co.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Katherine) Bonde of Valders, Mrs. Sylvester (Arlene) Schneider ofCleveland and Mrs. John (Delores) Chapich of Sheboygan; a son, Herman Jr., of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Palmer Rosinsky of Sturgeon Bay; two brothers, John Schwoerer of Long Beach, Calif., and Florian Schwoerer of Sheboygan, and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday at the Christianson Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, and at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory's Church, with a requiem Mass.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where at 8 p.m. the Rosary will be recited by members of the Christian Mothers Sodality and the Third Order of St. Francis.
