Funeral services for Lenora W. Ellis, 92, of Vian were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16,
2012, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sallisaw with Pastor Tim Schull officiating.
Burial was at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral
Home of Sallisaw.
Mrs. Ellis was born on July 11, 1920, in Box to John Franklin Wright and Dola Mae (Davis)
Wright. She died on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in Warner.
She was a teacher at Vian Public Schools for 22 years.
She married George Washington Ellis on June 6, 1938, in Gore. He preceded her in death on
Sept. 11, 1999.
Survivors are one daughter, Pat Dotson ; four sons, George Ellis , Gerald Ellis and Johnny Ellis, and Ken Ellis ; three sisters, Colene, Todd and Frankie; two brothers, Jimmy and Jack Wright; 15 grandchildren;
26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several other family members
and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons; three sisters, Arlene,
Mattie and Barbara; and two brothers, Bill and John Bluford Wright.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
