Funeral services for George W. ELLIS, 89, of Vian were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Gilbert Green and Bro. Stephen Harris officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. ELLIS was born Jan. 7, 1910, in Vian, to Lonzo George ELLIS and Eady Agnes (THOMASON) ELLIS. He died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, in Sallisaw. He married Lenora WRIGHT June 6, 1938, in Gore. Survivors include his wife, Lenora ELLIS of Vian; one daughter, Pat; four sons, George, Gerald, Johnny and Ken; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rachel and Eva.
