Leola King Music was the daughter of William Simon King and Lettie Corbitt. The 1920 census shows Simon and Lettie living in Axson, Ga. with 3 daughters: Ruby, Leola, and Victoria. Lettie died in 1922 and by the 1930 census Simon is living in Ware County with his wife Beadie, 2 of his youngest daughters from his first marriage, and the children that he and Beadie had at that time, starting with a boy named Clifford.

I believe Leola named her daughter Lettie Lou after her own mother.
