She was an active member of the Memorial Church of The Prince of Peace in Gettysburg. She graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1948. After graduation she enrolled in the Chester Hale School of Ballet in New York City. Later she returned to Gettysburg and worked in the office of the late Earl Pitzer then Director of the Bureau of Traffic Safety in Harrisburg. After completing a course of study at Hanover Hospital she was certified as a Nurses Aid and worked at Michael Manor Nursing.
In 1969 she married Attorney Robert Geigley. Thereafter she was active in Audubon, South Mountain Association, Community Concert Association and volunteer work in her church and community.
Mrs. Geigley is survived by four step-children; Karin, Silvia, Henry and Robert; 12 step-grandchildren, 32 step great-grandchildren; a step-mother, Laura Hershey of York Springs; two step-sisters, Clara Schweiger of Pittsburgh, and Bonnie Search of Mechanicsburg, Va.; a step-brother, Baird Hershey, Jr. of York Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
