Mr. Shad was born July 31, 1885 in the Town of Eaton, son of the late Franz and Mary Dietrich Schad. He attended St. Nazianz schools and was a farmer, retiring in 1951. He married Minnie Anhalt May 4, 1909 in Kiel. Mr. Shad was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church and Catholic Knights 109.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Mildred Schad of Mishicot; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Alex Bonde of Rt. 2, Kiel; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. His wife and a son preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Christianson-Deja Funeral Home 5 o’clock to 9 o’clock this Monday afternoon, where a parish prayer service will be at 8 o’clock.
