Stahl, Henry Richard (Feb. 21, 1884-April 17, 1972 –second husband of Katherine Ruplinger [married Nov. 15, 1910 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton –Katherine’s first husband was Cyriak Stahl, an older brother of Henry] –son of Gregor Stahl and Josepha Zeich –born Town of Eaton –farmer in Town of Eaton –on April 10, 1912 purchased from his parents the 100 acre farm centered at 22608 US Highway 151 in Section 17, Town of Eaton –Henry owned this farm until selling on July 14, 1966 to Kenneth Wagner –died in the Town of Marshfield, Fond du Lac County –died from “old age and heart sudden” –died from “arteriosclerotic heart disease –congestive heart failure –arteriosclerotic cerebro vascular insufficiency”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 1, Row 13, Lot 26 –family stone in 1-13-26] [no county marriage record –marriage recorded in St. Gregory Church records] [death record Fond du Lac 59-59]

HENRY STAHL, 88, a resident of the Villa Loretta Nursing Home, Mr. Calvary for the past six years, a retired farmer who leaves 198 direct descendants, died Monday night following a brief illness.
Born in the Town of Eaton on Feb. 21, 1884, he was a son of the late Gregor and Sophia Zeich Stahl.
He married the former Mrs. Catherine Ruplinger Stahl, widow of his brother, on Nov. 15, 1911 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.She died April 20, 1958.
He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Nazianz.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence of R. 1, New Holstein, and Herbert of Sheboygan; three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Madelyn) Meyers of Chilton, Mrs. Ervin (Genevieve) Baumgartner of St. Nazianz, and Mrs. Elton (Rita) Lutzke of R. 1, Valders; four step daughters, Mrs. Edward (Helen) Schmidt of Denmark, Mrs. Elmer (Gertrude) Criter of R. 3, Chilton, Mrs. Steven (Anna) Berke of Eagle river and Mrs. Alphonse (Irene) Lisowe of Lake Geneva; a stepson, Raymond of R. 2, Kiel; 57 grandchildren and 131 great grandchildren, and a brother, Nick of Cato.
A step daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Friday at 9:45 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The Rev. Gregory Putzer, pastor, will be celebrant of the requiem Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.A parish wake will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
