Mrs. Nick Steffen Is Called To Rest After A Long Illness
St. Nazianz - Mrs. Nick Steffen, 42 years old, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at the family home near St. Nazianz after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Steffen, whose maiden name was Pauline Ebenhoe, was born on June 29, 1894, in the Town Rockland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ebenhoe.
On July 1, 1914, she was united in marriage to Nick Steffen by the Rev. R. Gerlich at St. Gregory's church. She was a member of the Catholic
Knights and the Christian Mothers. The latter will meet at the Steffen residence at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors are the widower; four daughters, Marcella, Caroline and Deloris, all at home, and Mrs. George Bartle of Hayton, Wis., two sons, Arthur and Leo at home; one granddaughter; five sisters, Mrs. Peter Schmidt, Mrs. Wenzel Kabat, Mrs. Marcus Denk, all of Manitowoc, Mrs. Ed. Manlich of
Auburndale, Wis., and Mrs. Frank Huber of Morris, Ind., two brothers, Wenzel Ebenhoe of Brillion, Wis., and Joseph Ebenhoe of Manitowoc. Her parents, one sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the home and at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory's church in the this village.
