Dorothy Leah Lodge Maroney, 85, of Blossburg, PA, formerly a long-time resident of Troy, PA died Wednesday, October 8, 1997 at the Troy Community Hospital. Born June 11, 1912 in Elmira, NY she was a daughter of the late John R. and Hattie E. Leonard McCracken.

Dorothy was employed by the Troy Community Hospital as a nurses' aide for several years until her retirement. She was a life-time member of the Grover Church of Christ.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Norma Lodge of Arcadia, FL; a son, Edward Lodge of Canton, PA; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Launia and Thad Woodward of Canton; a son-in-law, Jerry Vollmer; a daughter-in-law Ann Lodge; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Edna Lodge; her second husband, Paul Maroney; a daughter, Barbara Vollmer; a son John "Jack" Lodge; sisters Esther LeVan, Marion Toby and Beatrice Bailey, a brother John McCracken Jr; and a daughter-in-law, Janice Lodge.

Funeral services were held at the Pepper Funeral Home in Canton on October 10 with the Rev. Willard Strunk officiating and interment to be in the Grover Cemetery, Canton Township. Memorial May be directed in the Grover Church of Christ Memorial Fund, PA Box 83, Grover, PA 17735 in Mrs. Dorothy Leah Lodge Maroney's memory.
