Anna Hubka Cerny

Anna Hubka, daughter of Amos and Anna Hubka ws born December 18, 1883, on a farm near DuBois, Neb., and passed away at the Lynch Clinic, in Fairbury, Nebraska, December 18, 1955, at the age of 72 years. In 1900 she moved with her parents to a farm southwest of Narka. On May 10, 1904, she was united in marriage to Frank Cerny. To this union were born four children, Louis of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Millie Brkesh of Munden, Clement of Narka, and Victor of Omaha, Neb. The family made their home on a farm southeast of Narka until January of 1946, when she and her husband retired and moved to the present home in Narka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Lloyd and Stanley, and one grandson, Loren Cerny.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband; one daughter; three sons; one granddaughter; seven grandsons; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Peterka of Narka, Mrs. Mary Beranek of Pawnee City, Neb., Mrs. Millie Podojil of San Francisco, Calif.; six brothers, Charles of Crete, Neb., Fred of Casseville, Mo., Amos of Eagle Butte, S.D., Bohman of Morrowville, August of Mahaska, and Rudolph of Denver, Colo; other relatives and a large number of friends.

She was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge over 50 years. Being one of the older children, when yet a girl, she delighted in caring for her younger brothers. Then in her own home she was a tender devoted mother. Now in her declining years her greatest delight and jpy were her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Denton Memorial hall in Narka, Dec. 20, at 2 p.n., with the Rev. Amos Runbus officiating. Interment was in the National Cementery, south of Narka.
