Emma H. Beidleman, 94, of Laramie died Oct. 16 at Laramie Care Center. She was born Dec. 20, 1917, in Wellington, Colo., to Pete and Marie Anna (Reu) Schlegel.

She grew up in Wellington, attended schools there and graduated from Wellington High in 1939. She then worked locally in Wellington.

She met Charles Beidleman in 1941 and they were married Sept. 28, 1943. After moving briefly with an oil drilling company, the Beidlemans moved to the Laramie area in 1952 and eventually settled in at the Harmony School west of Laramie, where both worked for Albany County School District No. 1.

She continued working there after her husband's death in 1974 and retired in 1984 after 27 years with the school, serving as a bus driver, custodian, director and cook for the school lunch program.

After her retirement, she moved to Laramie, remaining active and living independently for many years before moving to the Ivinson Home for Ladies for four years. She made many new friends there before health issues necessitated her move to Spring Wind Assisted Living Facility.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Pete and Marie; her two brothers, Harold and Leonard; her three sisters, Irene, Caroline and Mary Jo; and a daughter-in-law, Glenda.

She is survived by her children, Charles B. Beidleman Jr. and his wife Jeanine of Modesto, Calif., Lee Beidleman and his wife Linda of Cheyenne, and Edith Ann Schrayer and her husband Bill of Virginia Dale, Colo.; her grandchildren, Michael Beidleman and his wife Rebecca of Ripon, Calif., Steven Beidleman and his wife Karen of Modesto, Kelly Storebo and her husband Jerry of Cheyenne, Kerry Will and her husband Jon of Cheyenne, and Kurtis Beidleman and his wife Stacy of Grand Junction, Colo.; and her 14 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Eva Schlegel of Fort Collins, Colo.
