Blanche Griffey Harker, 95of Rockford, died at 5:15 am Thursday, Oct. 17, 1996 in the home of her daughter. Born June 25, 1901 in Prairie Farm, Wis., daughter of Val and Anna Ramft Kurschner. Married Merle Griffey in 1927. Married Phillip Harker in 1948. She taught ceramics at Campus Towers until age 90. Survivors include children, Eugene (Leona) Griffey, Jim (Jeanne) Griffey, Joel (Pat) Griffey and Jan (Roger) Kindstrom, all of Rockford, and Joan (Howard) Jaclbson of Savannah, Ga.; three stepchildren, Ruth Filippi, Lucille Sorenson and Paul Harker, all of Rockford; 17 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. Predeceased by husband, Phillip; daughter, Jacquelyn Lace; five sisters and a brother. Services at 10 am Saturday, Oct. 19, in Sundberg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Banner of Crystal Lake officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
