Ignatius Politis
   Ignatius Polls, 87, of Carey Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
   A native of Greece, he was born on Feb. 24, 1910 and came to the United States in 1934, settling in Wilkes-Barre. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
   Before retiring, he was employed as a cook by various Wyoming Valley restaurants. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre, the Order of Ahepa; American Legion Post 609, Hanover Township.
   He was preceded in death by three brothers. Surviving are his wife, the former Marie Sakelaridos; a son, Paul Politis, McConnellsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Elaine) Rash, Plains; a brother, Charalambos Politis, France; three granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, East Ross Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Leonidis H. Drakopulos, pastor, officiating.
   Interment will be in the Greek Lawn section of Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
   Friends may call at the Luther M. Kniffen, Inc., Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
