MILTON - Services for Robert E. Sykes, 80, lifelong local resident who died yesterday in his home at 23 Front St., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Albrecht Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Janesville.

Born April 1, 1888, in Milton Junction, the son of John and Carrie Coon Sykes, he was a veteran of World War I and had been employed at Lakeside Ice and Coal Co. as a maintenance man prior to his retirement. He had made his home in recent years with a nephew, Clarence Rinehart.

Surviving are three nieces, Mrs. Doris Wentler and Mrs. Effie Silbaugh, both of Janesville, and Mrs. Mable Clement, Bingham's Point, rural Milton; another nephew, John Rinehart, Valley, Neb.
