SCHOOL HILL – A quiet funeral took place at the School Hill cemetery, Friday morning, when Mrs. Oscar Lotten, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chr. Scharenbroch, was laid to rest. The body was sent here from California, where Mr. and Mrs. Lotten and family lived since last fall. Mrs. Lotten was a patient at the sanitarium in Whitelaw about a year. Her death was caused by after-effects of the flu which turned into consumption.
She was 41 years old and leaves her husband and three children.
The funeral was not a large one on account of the crippled phone service, making it impossible to inform friends of the obsequies.
