Joseph Vaughn Butler (1894-1960), 65, 421 S. 17th St., died in a Palatka hospital at 12:40 a.m. today after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 4 p.m. at St. James Methodist Church with Rev. A. Waldo Farabee and Rev. D. Ross Denslow officiating, assisted by Dr. James G. Robinson, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Melbourne Beach. Interment will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens under the direction of Master’s Funeral Home.
The deceased, a native of Sedalia, Mo. was a veteran of World War !, a member of St. James Methodist Church, xxx Madge Butler, Palatka; a daughter and grandson, Mrs. Richard Dennis and Richard Christopher Dennis, Berlin, Md.; sister, Mrs. Harry Fox, Levittown, Pa.; stepmother, Mrs. Katie Stagg Butler, Seaford, Del. and a half-sister, Mrs. Leon Trader, Salisbury, Md.
