Cora Mae Underwood, age 61, Hospital Road, Dawson Springs, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday in Portage, Indiana.
Mrs. Underwood was born in Crittenden County, KY on September 6, 1915 the daughter of the late William Henry Lanham and Ethel Mae Thurman.
She was a member of Dawson Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Aubrey Underwood; five sons, Wendell Underwood of Dawson Springs, Jim Underwood of Portage, Ind., Bobby Underwood, Fred Underwood and Larry Underwood all of East Gary, Ind., seven daughters, Mrs. Anna Hendricks of Bremen, Ky., Mrs. Reta Delmage and Mrs. Carolyn Berger both of Portage, Ind., Mrs. Linda Ray of San Juan, CA., Mrs. Shelia Johnson and Mrs. Donna Bailey both of Dawson Springs, and Mrs. Laura Brown of East Gary, Ind., ; one brother, George Lanham of San Diego, CA., one sister, Mrs. Flora Berry of Dawson Springs; two half sisters, Mrs. Dedie Owens of Fairfield, Ill., and Mrs. Margie Adams of Nashville, Tenn., two half brothers, Marvin Lanham and Robert Lanham both of Nashville, Tenn and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dawson Springs Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Eddie B
