Loris...Jane R. Hardwick, age 87, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at her residence.

Mrs. Hardwick was born May 14, 1925, a daughter of the late Gilbert Rabon and the late Lottie Graham Rabon. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Hardwick was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was a devoted caregiver to her family, friends, church, and community. She was predeceased by her husband, Alton Hardwick; five sons, D. B. Hardwick, J. T. "Jake" Hardwick, Wendell Hardwick, Marshall Hardwick, and Horace Hardwick; three brothers, Junior Rabon, Buddy Rabon, and Neal Rabon; and one sister, Mae Prince.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Kennedy of Aynor and Rhonda Dorsey and her husband Jimmy of Loris; nine grandchildren, Wendell, David, and Craig Hardwick, Sharon Carter, Marsha Canada, Tina Matthews, Janie Wood, Tommy Dorsey, and Anjl Gray; and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. from Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Dock Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
