Funeral service for Eldren 'Buddy' Carnahan, Jr. will be held 1 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Harold Imamshah officiating. Burial will be in Emmanuel Cemetery at Chopin, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 5 PM until 10 PM with a rosary service at 7 PM in the funeral home and visitation on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 8 AM until 12 Noon in the Blanchard- St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La. Mr. Carnahan, 58, of Chopin, La., La., died Monday, May 11, 2009, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. He was a native and lifelong resident of Chopin, La. He was a cowboy and rancher. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a veteran of Viet Nam Conflict serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wilhelmina Brou; parents, Eldren Carnahan, Sr. and Annie Mae Basco Carnahan. He is survived by two sisters, Fonda Cogdill and husband Vernon of Pollock, La. and Wanda Bradley and husband Allen Cooper of Gonzales, La. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
