Find a Grave ID

Bio

Long time genealogist and visitor to old cemeteries.
I will gladly transfer any memorial to a family member. I'm not here to collect memorials, just to make sure they are recorded and available to those family members interested. After finding several of my family members with memorials held by other people who seem to be more interested in amassing memorials than releasing them to a person in the deceased's family whether a cousin or aunt, uncle, niece, nephew or whatever. I have since removed any photographs I added and added my own memorial of those people in my family even though it is a duplicate memorial. Especially since several of the memorials I added biographical information that the current manager deleted, which is not helpful to those relatives who find their family member's memorial with no information.
Please contact me if you have a family member whose memorial I am managing and you'd like it transferred to you.
I believe that as the grave markers are in the public domain any photographs I take are as well and I would only ask that I be credited with them if you decide to use them in any of your genealogical writings or family website. It saddens me that people use Find A Grave memorials as collectables and refuse to transfer memorials and delete biographical information. Some of the most helpful genealogical information I have gotten has been on those memorials where there have been photographs, scans, etc of obituaries, articles about the person, photos of the person and sometimes their family members.
