MATHILDA RAPPEL

Mrs. Joseph Rappel, 65, of Cato, died Monday afternoon at her home, following a short illness. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Reedsville Funeral home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills, the Rev. Henry Arenz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Rappel was born Nov. 15, 1897, in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Remiker Hill and was married October 20, 1919,l to Joseph Rappel at St. Michael Catholic church, Whitelaw. The couple resided at Cato since then.
Mrs. Rappel was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Mary Church at Clarks Mills.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Arnold and Leonard of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Staudinger of Valders and Mrs. Joseph Aulik of Manitowoc; a brother, Frank of Cato and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by Father Arens and at 8 p.m. by the Christian Mothers.
