Clark, Ira (Jan. 4, 1823-Nov. 1, 1892 –husband of Harriet Tucker [married Nov. 15, 1856 in Manitowoc County –the three children from this married died in infancy] –son of Abel Clark and Lydia Day –a brother to Isaiah, Samuel, and Spencer Clark –born at Potsdam in St. Lawrence County, New York –from July 1, 1854 to Jan. 24, 1859, Ira owned the 40 acres of the SW1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 9, Town of Eaton –from Feb. 22, 1881 until his death in 1892, he owned the 40 acres of swampland in the NW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 2, Town of Eaton –" Ira Clark of Clarks Mills died on Tuesday morning of this week after a rather protracted illness. Mr. Clark was born at St. Lawrence County, New York, 69 years ago. He settled in this county in 1845 in the town of Manitowoc Rapids. In the early 50's he moved to Cato and built a mill there.
