Died: 02-12-2005 JOHNSON CITY - Margaret Nola Haney Whittemore, 88, of Panama City, Fla., died Saturday.

Mrs. Whittemore was born June 20, 1916, in Afton. She was one of 13 children of the late Calvin W. and Jennette Cloyd Haney.

She lived in Johnson City most of her life prior to moving in 1999 to Summers Landing in Lynn Haven, Fla.

She was of the Protestant faith and a former member of the First Church of God in Johnson City.

She was the widow of Luther Whittemore.

She is survived by a son: Derryl L. Whittemore Sr. and his wife, Ella R. Whittemore, of Panama City; a daughter: Carol Finger of Orlando, Fla.; three grandsons: Joe E. Finger Jr. and Timothy L. Finger, both of Orlando, and Derryl L. Whittemore Jr. of Panama City; a granddaughter: Natalie Whittemore Hall of Panama City; two great-grandchildren: Brittany Hall and Hunter Hall, both of Panama City; and several nieces and nephews, including Bobby and Patty Haney.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Ruth Whittemore; and her siblings, eight brothers: the Rev. George Haney, Mark Haney, Edgar M.E. Haney, Bob C. Haney, James L. Haney, Don D. Haney, William B. Haney, and Andrew "Dutch" Haney, three sisters: Sannie E. Goode, Polly Ann Goode and Macie L. Talley, and two half-brothers: David Carl Haney and Fred D. Haney.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, 2001 Oakland Ave. in Johnson City.

A graveside service will follow at 2:30 in Monte Vista Memorial Park.
